We celebrated Valentine's Day on the 12th because Rocky was headed for training in Minnesota on the 14th. He surprised me and took me to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Park City! The funny part was on the way there when we were going through SLC, I was thinking that maybe we were going to Ruth's Chris there. After we passed SL, I was back to not knowing where we were going.The restaurant was attached to a nice hotel. They had a valet take our car, which was a first time for me personally. The dining area we were in had a cabin-feel to it with huge ceiling-to-floor windows to see the snow and trees. The ceiling had huge wood beams and there was a fireplace. It was very nice.
The food was amazing! I had the petite filet which was plenty for me! It was so very good! :) Didn't even need ketchup! Rocky got a meal deal that came with an appetizer, main course, and dessert. I can't remember what he got. Our waiter brought me out a free dessert because we told him we were also celebrating Rocky's birthday as well as Valentine's Day. The dessert was cheesecake and it was really good as well.
It was fun to go on a mini-retreat with Rocky. Plus it was one of our last trips in our new-to-us SUV (another post).
The night before, we were also invited to a couples' dinner at Court & Krin's house. Each couple ordered what they wanted from Olive Garden. It was well-put together and nice to hang out with them and the other couples there. Rocky got me a beautiful bright bouquet of flowers! Of course, I was too scatterbrained to take a picture of them!
All-in-all, our Valentine's Day celebrations were great and I'm so thankful I have a wonderful husband who goes through the extra effort to try to surprise me and reminds me that it's ok to treat ourselves once in a while!
