*~Halfway Anniversary~* :)

Today is our 6-month anniversary! :) I know it's not a milestone or anything but it's just flying by so fast, our 1 year will be here before I know it! I'm so thankful for Rock; he's a great strength for me and he keeps me from getting too stressed out!! We are both so thankful for each other and for our families and friends for helping us in our journey! :)

~California Trip~

In March, I had a softball tournament in California. It was near where Rocky served his mission so he came to watch the games and after we were able to go visit a couple families and see some of the sites, specifically....

So here are some pictures of us playing in the snow for New Year's! We had so much fun even though it was pretty cold.

The best picture for almost last! My dad was turning around and we ended up getting whipped around and launching off of the drift! I thought we were going to hit a fence post or something, which we had done a little bit earlier. Dad was turning around again and the sled went farther then he thought and ran right into a fence post! Rocky bailed before it hit where he was but the sled took out the fence post and survived with a little ding! Wish we would've gotten a picture!

After a long day playing in the snow, here we are relaxing and playing a game at Grandma's!

It was a really fun day! :)

*~Our First Christmas Pictures~*

Finally, we took a couple pictures of our little Christmas tree that my dad cut down for us. It was kindly donated to us by my younger sister because technically it was her own tree to put in her room so she wasn't too happy that we were given her tree but she ended up being ok with it. :) So as you can see, the top picture is of us in front of the tree. The one below is of our little Juniper tree and some of the presents we got for Christmas! :)

Isn't the little thing cute?! It's so tiny in our house. My sister brought it up in the backseat of her car! That's how itty bitty it is! :)

A Day of Snowplay!!!

For New Year's, we went to my parents' house to hang out and go sledding! My friend Sholly came out to join in the fun too. First we started out pulling a sled behind the four-wheeler around the haystack by our house. It was loads of fun pulling Varcy around because she was a pro at staying on. After going around the haystack for a little while, we headed back to the house to go on some jumps that were there. The best was pulling Sholly over a huge jump - while she was in the air from going over it, the sled came out from under her. It was SO funny! After my dad was done feeding the moo-moos, he hooked up an old car hood to the back of his truck and he pulled 3 of us behind up and down the lane by the haystack. It was a lot of fun!! I think my dad had too much fun driving. :) When he was turning around at the end of the lane in a field, he didn't realize that the hood would go swing hard the other way and he ended up taking out a fence post! Rocky saw it coming for him and he bailed before it hit! LOL! Another funny/scary one (because I was on the hood for this) was when my dad was turning around at the other end of the lane and the hood swung into the drift and it launched us up into the air and Rocky thought we were going to end up in the fence, which thankfully we didn't. We were pretty much done with sledding after that. So we went to Grandma's for dinner and played the games, Uno Spin and Phase 10 Twist. They're both great games. It was great to get to spend some time with my family and to make it out home for the holidays since the roads had been so terrible and work was keeping me busy too. So that was our New Year's. Hope you all had a happy and safe one and continue to be for the rest of this winter!
Oh, and P.S., as soon as I get the pictures from my mom, I'll post them! They're great! She got a lot of funny pictures! :)

~Our First Christmas 2008~

For our first Christmas the plan went as follows: celebrate Christmas with each other on the 23rd, have Christmas dinner with Rocky's family at Morgan's, open presents at Rocky's parents', eat breakfast at his grandparents', then go to my parents' to see them and open gifts with them. Unfortunately, because of the horrific weather on Christmas day, both roads to my family's house were closed and we still haven't been able to celebrate Christmas with them. Other than not being able to see my family yet, our first Christmas went pretty well. It came super fast though!!! Everything's been going really fast since we got engaged, naturally. :)
Anyways, after finding out we couldn't make it to see my parent's, we had to push bulls down the lane to a different field so we took out the snowmobiles to chase 'em! Amazingly I didn't get stuck considering that was only the 2nd time I'd gone snowmobiling. :) It's fun though. Then we went back home and hung out for a little while before going back to Rocky's grandparents' to play cards. I learned how to play the card game GOLF and then we played Texas Hold 'Em (one of my favorite games). After cards we visited one of Rocky's good friends for a little bit then went to bed. It was a fun day. Hopefully I'll get some pictures soon but anyways just wanted to let everyone know how our first Christmas went!

Asay Christmas Party

Last night we went to the Asay Christmas Party and had a great time. It was fun seeing and visiting with everybody in the family. After we had all ate and talked for a while we played a game called Bunco which I had never played before. We were at tables in groups of four and then split into partners sitting diagonally from us. The first pair to 21 yelled "Bunco" and got to pick a white elephant gift. At the end, I ended up with a sauna suit, lol, and Rocky got a Christmas decoration.
After the party, we went to a movie, 'Four Christmases' with TJ, Jenna, Jayd, Justin, Ben, and Holly. It was fun being able to hang out with them a little bit longer. Then we headed back home. :)
Going to the party and hanging out was worth the trip!
